“THE POWER OF EUROPE”

Thursday, 5 November 2020 (3.00-5.00pm)

By 2050, Europe aims to become the first climate-neutral continent in the world – an ambitious “man on the moon” project that requires unprecedented cooperation between politics, society and business across national borders, while offering great opportunities for European companies.

Transnational initiatives, regulations and packages of measures will be essential for a successful transition to a low-carbon economy.

In the final phase of the German EU Presidency, the Annual Conference 2020 of Foundation 2° focuses on questions of international coordination in climate protection:

  • How can the EU increase its climate target for 2030 while at the same time enabling companies to realize their central role in climate protection?
  • What can the EU expect from the German economy?
  • What is the pan-European strategy for an adequate supply for renewable energies?
  • Which international cooperation models already exist?
  • How can international value chains be coordinated?

You can look forward to two exciting and intensive hours, in which we want to interactively discuss with our guests and you how the “European Green Deal” can become a growth project for Europe.

Please send us an email with your name to receive a personal invitation and to register officially (jahreskonferenz@2grad.org).
