Climate Protection Investment

Investment in climate protection is both ecologically and economically interesting, and it facilitates the efficient conversion of energy systems.

Investors demand transparency concerning production facilities, production chains and resources used in order to be able to evaluate the sustainability of businesses.

“The number of investors wanting to know from businesses how they are managing the risks of climate change is constantly growing,” confirms Susan Dreyer, Germany’s director of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a nongovernmental organization which forges links between the financial market and climate protection.

The businesses themselves are in turn investigating any links between their financial assets and the coal, oil and gas sector, and they are switching their investments as far as possible to sustainable financial assets.
